Artwork of the Week

I thought it might be interesting to share with you and feature a different artwork of mine each week, taking into account the limited amount of time we all have, and therefore keeping it short and sweet.

This week’s work is one that hangs in my hallway. It’s now one of my favorites because of its unique color combinations and loosely designed patterns.

I created it after watching another artist on YouTube and wanted to give it a try. It is a 12×12” wood panel from Cheap Joe’s art supply and it was painted using whatever acrylics and other mark-making tools I had on hand. I call it “Musical Messages 2” as it is part of a small series.

In future posts I’ll be sharing more about my process, including the supplies and techniques I use.

For now, though, I’m off to enjoy my Sunday! Hope you’re doing the same!

Women in art

I’m very excited to report that one of my pieces has been accepted to the Las Laguna Art Gallery’s ‘WOMEN IN ART, 2022’ show.

The online exhibit will run from July 7th through July 30th, 2022.
